Jim Craig Hess

Jim started out in the mortgage business over 20 years ago in Midland, TX where he originated loans for a locally owned Texas bank. After a short time processing loans in Midland, Jim quickly transferred to Austin, a city for which he has held an affinity since his time as an undergrad at the University of Texas. Before transitioning into the mortgage business, Jim spent the first part of his career as a landman in the oil and gas industry. But with both an eye to getting back to Austin, as well as a desire to utilize his degree in finance, Jim transferred into the mortgage business, an industry perfect for his charismatic nature.

Jim is one of Sente’s senior mortgage bankers, starting out with the original Milestone group in the mid-nineties. Jim has found success and enjoyment as a mortgage banker by helping people navigate through what can seem like the very intimidating process of financing a home. He especially enjoys working with first-time homebuyers, guiding them through what is likely the largest and most important purchasing decision they have yet to experience, and ultimately making the process less daunting. He also appreciates the long-term relationships and life-long connections he is able to forge by working within the mortgage industry.

Jim is a member of the Successful Marketing Associates (SMA) and active UT alum, enthusiastically attending Longhorn sporting events throughout the year. He also enjoys supporting his own kids’ sports activities; cheering on his daughter, Madi, at Cedar Park High School basketball games as well as his son, Tanner, a former varsity baseball player for the Timberwolves, who now attends the Texas State University.
